Teacher Assistant Positions (listed 4.2.26)

Are you ready to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners? East Taieri School is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants to join our team until the end of 2026.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone with proven teacher assistant experience who is:

• Flexible, patient, and resourceful, with a readiness to embrace each new day.
• Skilled at working with neurodivergent students.
• Skilled in building strong interpersonal and communication connections.

About the Role:

You will play a vital role in supporting ākonga, helping them navigate their learning journey and thrive. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Building relationships with students to engage them in learning.
• Defusing challenging situations with care and confidence.
• Working alongside Kaiako to develop and support ākonga with tailored literacy and numeracy programmes.
• Collaborating effectively with Kāiako and Whānau to support student success and wellbeing.

This is a fixed-term position until the end of 2026, with hours to be confirmed. 

There may be more than one position available.
